Cheap Ugg Boots, Shoes, and Sandals

Updated on March 20, 2011

The Australian Ugg Brand

Brian Smith created the UGG design in 1978. He was an Australian surfer who felt right at home in California. He brought over a bag of sheepskin boots, and the UGG Australia brand really started forming.

UGG was purchased by Deckers Outdoor Corporation in 1995, and by 1998, UGG had two boots, four slippers, and a few casual shoe designs. With these designs UGG really became a popular footwear with Americans. They're a high-end luxury brand that features a luxury shoe with a nearly perfect fit.

In 2003, UGG was named the "Brand of the Year" by Footwear News, and from this point on sheepskin shoes were all the rage in Milan, Paris, and New York. The beaches of Australia spurred the trends of all the high fashion runways.

The mission of UGG is to create and market the most comfortable and luxurious footwear. They want to design a shoe that will fit into your daily lifestyle, while being fashionable and comfortable.

Ugg shoes come in a variety of designs, and while using the finest materials, they are constructed of high quality leather, suede, and sheepskin.

But, with all this talk of luxury and high-end, it doesn't mean that you always have to pay that. You can find wholesale UGG boots that are brand new without any scratches or dents. You can find cheap Ugg shoes and sandals. You options and designs are wide and varied, whether you're looking for women's boots, men's sandals, or kids shoes, UGG footwear will have your tastes and needs covered.

When Not to Wear UGG Boots

  • Don't wear in warm weather because first and foremost, you'll look ridiculous and you're feet will steam up. Remember they're lined in sheepskin.
  • Don't wear to tropical beaches or with a bathing suit.
  • Never wear UGG boots with leggins or panty hose.
  • Do not wear UGG boots with capris, shorts, or mini skirts. If you can go skinny dipping, then you don't need boots on.
  • Don't wear with pajama pants because it just doesn't match.
  • Don't wear with sweat pants. Sweat pants belong at the gym with sneakers or at home with slippers.
  • Don't wear an eskimo coat or a puffy coat that is of the same material of your boot. You'll look like an eskimo with a sheep skin coat and boots. You'll want to get a coat of a different material and of a different color than your boots.

Wear UGG boots with sturdy cold weather pants, like jeans, cargo pants, or corduroy. These boots are designed to keep your feet warm in cold weather. Just because they're stylish, that doesn't mean they are to be worn as year-round footwear.

UGG Kid's Shoes

UGG has created a kid's line of boots and shoes that fit infants, little kids, and big kids. You can find the footwear in many designs, materials, and colors. You can find boots, casual footwear, and slippers for big kids and little kids, but a more simple bootie for infants.

The different lines come in a varied variety so that you can find something for every child. Even the UGG infant booties come in a wide variety.

Shopping for UGG Boots

Whether you're looking for a woman's boot or a men's slipper, you can find UGG footwear on sale. In many cases you won't find discount UGG boots at the store, but when you buy shoes online, you'll generally find a much better deal.

Because the UGG brand is a popular brand, you'll find that there are more sellers promoting and selling the footwear, which means competition is high and prices may be lower, especially online. Just because you are looking for cheap UGG boots, that doesn't mean that you're going to get cheap quality.

The UGG brand of footwear is truly a high-end, luxury shoe that will last you longer than many other brands. When shopping for UGG shoes, look around and don't be scared to check the Internet for better deals on UGG shoes.

Plus, in most cases, you'll find that you will have more options on the Internet, because local stores generally don't get every design and model that is available. They're trying to appeal to the mass population, but the mass population may not be looking for exactly what you are. The internet will have it available waiting for you to purchase.
