Choosing the Best Kitchen Blender
Choosing a Kitchen Blender
There are a number of blenders on the market with options ranging from brand, watt, speed options, blend options, etc, which is why it can be hard to pick out the perfect blender for your kitchen. When choosing a blender, you'll want to choose a blender that performs the functions that you need it for. If you want a blender that has a chop function, then you don't want to purchase a blender that only has slice and crush.
Check out the features and functions before you purcahse the blender. Below you'll find three top blender options, as well as various features that you want to look out for.

Capacity- Kitchen blenders come with different capacities, usually between 33 to 101 ounces. You will need to consider how much space you have for a blender on the counter, as well as how much you plan on blending at the same time.
Materials- You'll want to make sure that the base is stable enough to hold the blender from falling over. Stainless steel is generally considered the best option. As for the container, the options are usually going to be plastic or glass; glass is usually more sturdy and long-lasting (as long as you don't break it) but it is more expensive.
Functions- Whether it be attachments for the different cutting and slicing features, you'll want to consider how easy it is to replace or detach the attachments. Consider how easy the parts are to be replaced and the price of replacing the attachments in case they get damaged.
- Pulse Actions- Different pulse actions will help blend different ingredients.
Wattage- Generally, the wattage will vary from 400 watts to 1200 watts. The smaller the blender, the lower the watt and vice versa. The higher the watt, the quicker and easier the blending features will be, but remember the higher the wattage, the more power and energy you're using, so for the green kitchen a 1200 watt blender may not be ideal if you only need the functions of a 400 watt.
Speeds- Blenders come in different speeds from 5 to 14. Having a varied speed will help you mix various ingredients and textures.
Safety- You want a safe blender that you can use, clean, and store without having to worry about getting cut or hurt in any way. It's ideal that the blender has a cord storage compartment with a lid to prevent the cord from getting wet. You'll also want a blender with safety locks to prevent the blender from starting by itself on accident. Consider dishwasher safe, and containers that can be opened at both the bottom and top to make cleaning safer, as you'll be able to remove the blades during cleaning.
Warranty- Consider the warranty. Many manufacturers offer limited warranties for their products. Most warranties will range from 1 to 3 years.
